Adobe Lightroom Bootcamp 1 Day Workshop
Dates: March 14, 2020
Location: Garage Cultural Center, Montpelier, VT
Instructor(s): Kurt Budliger
Photo archiving and RAW processing are critical components of photography in the digital world. Adobe Lightroom is an amazing piece of software that allows us to organize and manage our growing archive as well as bring our images to life using state of the art processing tools. This will be a small group, hands on workshop providing you with lots of one on one instruction and time to practice newly aquired skills.
Topics and Skills Covered:
- Preferences for Opimal Performance and Image Quality
- Importing Images (two methods and best practices)
- Using the Library Module (culling and organizing)
- Using Collections
- Keywords & Captions
- Using the Develop Module (global RAW processing best practices)
- Using the Graduated Filter Tool
- Using the Adjustment Brush
The workshop will kick off at 8:30AM on Saturday March 14th at the Garage Cultural Center in Montpelier, VT. We’ll spend the morning hours diving into the Library Module and learning best practices of managing an image archive. We’ll break for lunch at approx. 12PM. The afternoon will be spent learning and practicing best practices of image processing using the powerful tools in the Develop Module. We’ll wrap things up at 4:30PM
Beginner to Intermediate. Participants should be comfortable using a laptop computer, have the latest version of Adobe Lightroom Classic installed and up to date as well as possess basic computer skills (creating and naming folders, copying and pasting documents from one drive to another, software menu navigation, etc.). Participants should have a relatively new laptop (withing the last 3-4 yrs) as older laptops often don’t have enough RAM and storage to efficiently run Lightroom Classic.
What to Bring:
Since this is a hands on, learn by doing workshop you’ll need to bring a laptop with Adobe Lightroom Classic installed and up to date. You may also want to have access to your image archive (assuming it’s on an external hard drive). I will provide a folder of sample images to use during the workshop.
Full payment of 195.00 USD is required to secure a space on this workshop. There is no refund after the final payment has been made (unless we can fill your spot). Please see our cancellation policy for more detailed information.
